Mission, Philosophy, and Goals 2007 -2008
Mission Statement
SS. Cyril and Methodius is a vital Catholic School community that exists to
build the Kingdom of God. We do so by providing an excellent Catholic
Education in a compassionate environment that strives to develop each
student spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally. We do this
in conjunction with our parents, the primary educators of our children.

Philosophy
Our philosophy is to guide each child, as called by God, toward the
fulfillment of his/her potential. Through ongoing curriculum development, we
encourage students to become lifelong learners. We hope to enrich each
student by promoting an appreciation of religious, cultural, and racial
diversity. Toward this we strive to maintain a nurturing environment, which
promotes love, understanding, knowledge and respect of self and others.

Our purpose and vision is to deepen children’s religious experience and
understanding of God. We also envision that the students of SS. Cyril and

Catholic educational experience-worship, message, community, and
service.
- Foster the faith development of school families through
evangelization and welcoming participation in the life of the Church.
- Provide opportunities to apply social teaching in the form of
service or social action.
- Communicate the mission of the school through words and actions.
Genesis Academic Excellence Goal
SS. Cyril and Methodius School is a place where ongoing curriculum
development is enhanced and encouraged. To accomplish this goal we will:
- Continue to develop individual curriculum maps focusing on different
instructional areas.
- Establish priority of curriculum implementation based on our
school’s needs.
- Develop a formal textbook review process/cycle.
- Attend regular grade level/departmental meetings to discuss concerns
with curriculum development.
- Implement Differentiated Instruction into the curriculum.
Genesis School Vitality Goal
SS. Cyril and Methodius is a vital Catholic School community that exists
to build the kingdom of God. To accomplish this goal we will:
- Expand the competencies of the principal, faculty, and staff through
