The Greek cross is inscribed in a circular blue field that symbolizes the universe and the need for solidarity. The cross sustains and upholds humanity gathered in the continents represented by the five doves. The cross is the same color as the doves, signifying the Incarnation whereby God enters into human history and redeems it. The light that comes from the center of the design represents Christ, who is the light of the world. The colors of the logo remind us that joy and peace are an integral part of the Jubilee celebration.Sharing Christ’s Gifts

A Letter from the Pastor

Dear Friend:

Fr. Larry Lisowski, Pastor of SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish, Lemont, IllinoisI wish I could personally visit with each household to explain the Sharing Christ’s Gifts Millennium Campaign, our parish’s capital campaign, but obviously that is not possible. Through the information provided in these pages, it is my desire that our parish will sense the leadership of God and our commitment to carry on the mission and ministry of Jesus here in Lemont.

I know you would agree that the ministries provided by SS. Cyril and Methodius Parish are a wonderful blessing. There are many opportunities for each of us to grow spiritually. However, at this time, our parish is faced with many significant capital needs and it is our desire to fulfill the pressing financial needs of our parish. As part of the Sharing Christ’s Gifts Millennium Campaign, we are asking every household in our parish to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment (over and above your ongoing offertory) to be given over the next three years. It is our prayer to come together as a community in order to move forward in our ministry.

Let us commit to know and do the will of God. Please take the time to read the information provided in this packet, as it will help you to understand the situation of our parish. Commit to learn more to find out how you can be a part of this important effort. The Lord calls each of us to step forward in faith and build the Kingdom of God.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Larry Lisowski, Pastor
