The Greek cross is inscribed in a circular blue field that symbolizes the universe and the need for solidarity. The cross sustains and upholds humanity gathered in the continents represented by the five doves. The cross is the same color as the doves, signifying the Incarnation whereby God enters into human history and redeems it. The light that comes from the center of the design represents Christ, who is the light of the world. The colors of the logo remind us that joy and peace are an integral part of the Jubilee celebration.Sharing Christ’s Gifts

Needed capital repairs

Throughout the next few months, information will be provided to all parishioners to illustrate the necessary capital repairs and the progress made in reaching the goals of the Sharing Christ’s Gifts Millennium Campaign.

By sharing this information with all parishioners, SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish will continue to build on its strong foundation and create a future for today’s parishioners and for those in generations to come.

The church building of SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish is easily recognized by the unique Rose Window in the choir loft on the front of the building. The following pictures show the current state of the Rose Window. It is easy to see how time and weather have caused structural damage, which require immediate repair and restoration.

Portions of the Rose Window’s framework have rotted and are separating from the window itself.

The picture below is a vertical angle of the exterior of the Church bell tower. The masonry work needs to be performed on the interior and exterior of the bell tower. The louvers of the bell tower that were damaged by weather need to be replaced.
