SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish Center Progress

Forward in Faith

GOOD NEWS!!

As of the weekend of October 25th, the Forward in Faith campaign has received $2,000,000 in pledges to the campaign for a new Parish Center. Thanks to the generosity of just a few families in the parish, we are well on our way to our goal to build a facility that will serve the needs of SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish for years to come.

The new Parish Center will be an important element in the daily life of our church. The Chapel will offer a cost-effective opportunity to meet the needs of our daily Mass and devotions. The multi-purpose rooms will    be available for the countless groups who support the church and for the school activities that make us a thriving parish. Just as the generations who came before us did, we will be good stewards of the church and leave a lasting legacy for our children.

Results of the Feasibility Study

In September, we shared the results of the feasibility study with the parish. Given the recent success and some questions about the feasibility study, we wanted to share this information again. Thank you to all the parishioners who participated in the interviews and surveys. We were able to capture more than 500 voices about the Forward in Faith campaign. Through the study we learned:

  • Our parishioners have a very positive outlook on the life of our parish noting that our sense of community as a key strength.

  • The majority of those who responded have a positive perception of the Parish Center project, and view it as a ‘high’ or ‘medium’ priority for the parish.

  • There is support for the SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish moving forward with the campaign. The majority of interviewees voicing support for proceeding.

  • Many parishioners are willing to lead or volunteer for the campaign with greater than one in three parishioners willing to assist.

  • Most parishioners would be willing to consider a gift to a campaign, but are unsure of the parish’s ability to raise the proposed goal of $4.5 million. (To date we are already a quarter of the way there with only 1% of families participating so far.)

We also gained confidence that now is the right time to consider this project. Since the study we have experienced tremendous success and ask you to continue to pray for the campaign.

“O Lord God, you have taught us, ‘Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build.’ We ask you to look with kindness upon us, our parish and our school, and send your Holy Spirit to guide us. Open our hearts to do your will, that we may present to you a sacred space in which to work, celebrate, learn, and gather together to praise your Name. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.”
