Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord: John 20:1-9

Pastor Reflection

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

While in Africa during his first Resurrection Easter morning Mass, a missionary said to the congregation, “I have great news for you. Today I saw and met the Resurrected Christ. He lives.” All the faithful looked around and asked in one unison voice, “Where?”

Where can one meet the Resurrected Christ? He can be met anywhere two or three have gathered in His name. As such, He can be met in Church, in our families and in every place where there is faith and love. Today the joyous Alleluia sounds in our church and in our hearts. May this Easter joy, which stems from the Resurrection of Christ, make its way to our parish, to our families and to each one of us.

At this Easter time, I would like to express my gratitude for your concern about our parish and continue to ask for your assistance and prayers. I wish you the very best and pray that you may find the Risen Christ so that He can guide and be present in your hearts and families for ever more.
