As Christmastime draws near, once again we are asking that you open your hearts and help the needy through our “Tree of Love.”
Starting the weekend of, November 23rd & 24th, we will begin our 30th annual “Tree of Love” ministry. Our trees will be up in the back of church decorated with tags designated with items from the wish lists of persons in need. Our gifts will benefit the following organizations:
¨ Mercy Home (a Catholic run home for abused and abandoned boys and girls)
¨ Helping Hands program of SS. Cyril & Methodius parish
¨ St. Joseph Parish
¨ The Women’s Center (a South suburban pro-life center)
¨ Sister House (a Catholic run homeless women’s shelter in Chicago)
Please follow these simple guidelines:
¨ Select a tag from the tree
¨ Sign out your tag on the clipboards provided under the Tree of Love
¨ Purchase the item on your selected tag. Please consider using our Manna program for gift certificates.
¨ Wrap the gift. If possible please include a gift receipt inside the wrapped gift.
¨ Tape the tag on the outside of your wrapped gift
¨ Return the wrapped gift by SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8th.
¨ If you cannot purchase the gift on a tag you have taken please return the tag to a
“Tree of Love” volunteer or to the rectory.
If you have any questions please call the rectory or contact Leona Glotzbach at
630-346-3315 or email Leona@tglotz.com
We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has participated in the past to make the “Tree of Love” ministry a successful outreach of our parish. Thank you in advance for your prayers, kindness, and continued generosity.
Wishing you a joyous and blessed Advent season,
