Booking Your Wedding
The process of booking your wedding at SS. Cyril & Methodius begins by contacting
the parish office at 630-257-2776 or email to secretary@stcyril.org so that you might
inquire about available dates. Our most popular day is Saturday with weddings held
at 11 AM, 1 PM or 3 PM. Once your date is booked, a wedding questionnaire is sent to
you to be completed and returned along with a non-refundable $100 deposit. This
deposit secures your date.
Wedding Preparation Requirements
Each engaged couple is required to complete a PreCana marriage preparation class.
A baptized catholic must submit a new-reissued baptismal certificate with notations.
A confirmation certificate may also be required.
If our priest is completing your prenuptial questionnaire, a pre-marriage inventory,
better known as FOCCUS, will be issued to you.
Two Witness Affidavits are also required for both the bride and the groom. These
witness affidavits attest to the fact that you are free to marry and will be given to you
when you meet with our priest.
In the document Celebrating Marriage at SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish you will find all
information needed to be prepared for your big day in our church. You will see details
on planning the liturgy, frequently asked questions, along with information on fees,
flowers, photography and videotaping. Also, provided in this document are details such
as dimensions of our center aisle, rows of pews and so on. We want your wedding day
to run as smoothly as you do; therefore, adhering to these guidelines is very important.
